Cookies are small files that are downloaded to the user’s device when accessing a website. Their purpose is to enable the proper functioning of the website, improve the browsing experience, and obtain statistical information about the use of the site.

If the user does not register or provide personal information on the site, the server will know that someone with that cookie has returned to the website, but it will be impossible to associate the browsing activity with a specific and identified user.

What types of cookies exist?

Depending on their expiration period, cookies may be classified as session cookies or persistent cookies. The former expires when the user closes the browser, while the latter remain for a longer period during which the data continue to be stored on the device and may be accessed and processed.

• Third-party cookies. These are cookies sent to the user’s device from equipment or a domain not managed by the website owner, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

Depending on their purpose, we may refer to:

• Technical cookies. These are necessary for the basic functioning of the website and allow, for example, navigation management, maintaining the user session, or storing consent preferences.

• Analytics cookies. These allow the anonymous analysis of user behavior on the website in order to improve the services and content offered.

• Personalization cookies. These allow certain user preferences to be remembered, such as language or the type of browser used.

• Third-party cookies. Certain website functionalities may use services provided by third parties, such as statistical analysis tools or embedded content.

Likewise, the user may allow, block, or delete installed cookies through their browser settings:
