RPow took part in the European Workshop Week 2025, the main innovation forum organized by EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) in Europe, held in Barcelona. Our CTO, Ángel Martínez Quesada, was a speaker on the roundtable focused on Industrial Electrification and Decarbonization, alongside Marta Martínez (Iberdrola) and Arin Kaye (EPRI).
During his presentation, Ángel outlined RPow’s approach based on Thermal Energy Storage (TES) as a key solution to reduce emissions in energy-intensive industries. This technology enables the integration of renewable sources, helps balance demand, and reduces the use of fossil fuels, while also enhancing industrial competitiveness.
The European Workshop Week is an EPRI-led initiative and an internationally recognized platform for energy research. It brings together more than 200 experts from companies, utilities, R&D centers, and grid operators, with the goal of fostering collaboration and exchanging solutions to Europe’s energy challenges.
Industrial decarbonization is not only an environmental imperative; it also represents a strategic opportunity to position Europe at the forefront of innovation and strengthen its energy independence.
